Climate Adaptation Planning in the Pajaro Valley: Addressing a Planning Gap in Agricultural Communities

This article explores climate adaptation in an agricultural community through a case study of the Pajaro Valley on the Central Coast of California. Through surveys and interviews, community members, farmworkers, and farm operators identified concerns for increased heat and heat waves, health, work stoppages, and society at large.

Policy on Agroecosystems in Costa Rica

Implementing and regulating agroecology could ensure economic stability while still maintaining biodiverse ecosystems, supporting local communities and fulfilling international agreements like the 2015 Paris Agreement. Sustainable implementation of agroecology should be explored as a means to ensure adequate food production for the population while conserving the biodiversity of local ecosystems.
